In the spirit of Mandela Day, Coca-Cola Peninsula Beverages (CCPB) is once again stepping into communities across Cape Town to honour the legacy of Nelson Mandela with action and heart. Inspired by Madiba’s call to “make a better world for all who live in it”, CCPB employees will dedicate their 67 minutes through volunteer work that brings hope and dignity to those in need.[web:11][web:16]

This year’s activities will take place at various locations in partnership with local changemakers:[web:11]

Rusthof Old Age Home in Paarl
Donating canteen furniture and handing out warm cups of soup to the residents.

Drakenstein Animal Shelter
Donating food and blankets to support the SPCA.

Soup pack drive in collaboration with Fruit and Veg (Vredenburg)
Team members in Vredenburg will be packing soup parcels.

Soul Kitchen with Jenny Morris at the Salesian Institute
Cooking meals for vulnerable youth.

Ladles of Love at DHL Stadium
Packing food, building preschool toys and assembling garden kits.

FoodForward SA at Century City
Supporting logistics and food parcel preparation for families in need.

CCPB Athlone – preparing grocery hampers
Packing parcels that each team member can hand out to a person in need.

Kuils River area
Handing out soup, bread and fruit to people experiencing homelessness in Kuils River, behind Shoprite / Mid-De Kuilen Centre.

Tygerberg Cancer ward
Post-Mandela Day on 21 July, the team will visit patients and hand out soup and fruit packs.
